By contacting Home Rescue Services ("we", "us", "our") by phone, WhatsApp, email, in person, or through any other channel, you ("the Client") acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full. We in turn accept that the Client has read through and agreed to everything set out on this page. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not engage our services.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Home Rescue Services accepts no responsibility or liability for any damages, losses, injuries, theft, breakages or any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages that may occur on the Client's premises while we are on site, including but not limited to damage to property, fixtures, finishes, plumbing, electrical wiring, walls, ceilings, floors, paintwork, personal belongings, vehicles, pets or persons.
The Client confirms that they have inspected the site and accepts that all work is carried out at the Client's own risk. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable South African legislation.
Standard pricing applies during normal working hours on weekdays. After-hours call-outs may attract an additional charge. Pricing may also vary, and additional surcharges may apply, for work carried out on Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays. Where possible, any such additional rate will be communicated to the Client before the work commences, but the Client accepts that revised pricing may apply to urgent or unscheduled call-outs.
Quotations are based on the information provided by the Client and a reasonable visual inspection. Prices may change if the scope of work, site conditions, materials, or third-party costs differ from what was originally quoted. Any material change will be communicated to the Client before additional work is carried out.
Payment terms will be agreed per job. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. Late payments may attract interest at the rate prescribed by the Prescribed Rate of Interest Act 55 of 1975.
We take pride in our work and aim to deliver quality workmanship on every job. Any concerns regarding workmanship must be raised with us in writing within a reasonable period after completion so that we have a fair opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy the issue.
The Client is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work site, and for ensuring that valuables, fragile items, pets and children are kept clear of the work area. We are not liable for damage or loss arising from a failure to do so.
Cancellations should be communicated as early as possible. Cancellations made on short notice, especially for after-hours, weekend or public holiday bookings, may attract a call-out fee to cover travel and time already committed.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where applicable. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of contact will be the version that applies to the Client's engagement with us.
For any questions regarding these Terms & Conditions, please contact Home Rescue Services on 079 327 4253 or via WhatsApp.
